Composition Task

Composition Task

How to make a dynamic composition whilst retaining clarity?

My submission utilises hexagon-shaped frames for the images to create a more interesting composition that plays with the rule of thirds. I thought all the images where quite geometric so I was inspired by the architectural lines to create the hexagon form.

CHOSEN FONT FAMILY: Bahnschrift = formal serif font with a utilitarian impression

The title has a significantly larger sized font and is in bold whereas the body text, although in the same font, is much smaller and condensed. The coloured bar was from the red lights in the first image and the triangle indicates an arrow to link the text to the images. The page number replicates the title in the opposite corner whilst retaining enough border space from the edge of the page so the margins print clearly.

The balance between positive and negative space remains but the misaligned centre mark of the page creates a more dynamic layout.
